There are two entry points: Saint Jean d’Aulps, which allows you to access the Portes du Soleil (via shuttle), and La Chèvrerie (Bellevaux), in the Brevon Valley.

The Aulps Abbey was founded in the late 11th century in the heart of the Pre-Alps of Chablais. Covering an area of three hectares, the abbey grounds are located at an altitude of 800 meters. It houses the remains of the abbey church, cellars, gardens, the gatehouse, and especially the former monastic farm. The latter features a unique interpretation center in France dedicated to the daily life of monks in a mountain abbey during the Middle Ages. The abbey’s gardens are also carefully tended, including the creation of a botanical garden (herbularius) and a vegetable garden (hortus).
